A trivia board on your TV, buzzers on everyone’s phone
Categories across the top, values down the side, teams shouting at the screen. Pick a topic — the 1990s, your company, photosynthesis, your friend’s wedding — and BrainBuzz writes the board, fact-checks it, and puts it on the big screen. Everyone else joins with a four-letter code.
How a game runs

Name a topic
Anything at all. You get a full board — up to six categories of five clues, plus a final round. Or build one by hand, or upload your own lesson plan or notes and have the board built from that. -
Put it on the TV
Open the board in a smart-TV browser, or cast the tab. No second screen? There is a mode for that too. -
Everyone joins by code
Four letters on their phone. No app, no account, up to 40 players in a room. -
Split into teams and play
You read the clue, they buzz. You mark it right or wrong; the scores keep themselves.
What you get
Buzzers, or take it in turns
Buzz mode is the classic scramble — first phone in gets it, wrong answers lock that team out and open the steal. Turns mode has no buzzer at all: teams take the board in order, which suits a classroom or a room where one table is much faster than the rest.
Daily Doubles and a Final round
Hidden Daily Doubles let a team wager. The Final round takes a written answer and a secret wager from every team at once, which is what keeps the last twenty minutes worth playing.
Nobody is mathematically eliminated
Catch-up is on by default: in the Final every team may wager the whole pot — every score on the board added up — and the Daily Double cap is the leader’s score. It is a lever for the trailing team, not a handout — they still have to be right. Switch it off if you want it brutal.
Phones are optional
The host console can add players who have no phone, and turns mode needs no buzzer. A board can be played by a room where nobody takes a phone out.
It fact-checks itself
Generated boards go through a second pass that checks the answers and rewrites clues that give themselves away. It is not infallible — read your board before game night — but it catches the obvious.
Build it from your own material
Upload a lesson plan, a chapter or a set of notes (.txt, .md or .csv) and get a board built from what is actually in the file, rather than from what a model already knew about the subject.

Is this the real Jeopardy!?
No. BrainBuzz is an independent game inspired by the format of classic TV quiz shows. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Jeopardy!, Jeopardy Productions, Inc. or Sony Pictures.
How many people can play?
Up to 40 phones in one room, split across as many teams as you like. Teams are the unit that scores, so a big group works better as six teams of five than thirty individuals.
Do my players need an account?
No. Only you do. Players type a four-letter code on their phone — no app, no signup, no charge, ever.
How long does a game take?
A full board of six categories runs about 45 minutes to an hour with a lively room. You can end it early from the console at any point and the scores still resolve.
Can I edit the clues?
Yes, from your account’s board library — every clue and answer is editable there, with an AI fact-check and translation on the same board. If you have played it already, 🎲 Generate new questions in the console keeps your categories and writes a fresh set to play again.
What does it cost?
Hosting and playing are free forever, as are hand-built boards and the sample packs. A new account gets three AI game credits when you verify your email, and one credit generates one full board.
